Sweet Sassy Diva's Birthday Blog Hop!

Welcome to the SweetSassyDiva Birthday Blog Hop!

We are celebrating Bobbi Jo's (SweetSassyDiva) birthday this weekend March 10th and 11th. Each day will be a new project and be sure to check out the yummy blog candy giveaways!  I am so happy that you could join us for this super fun Blog Hop showcasing Birthday Themed fun! You will find an array of ideas along the hop and be sure to become a follower and leave some love aka comments along the way.

This is a TWO-Day hop so, be sure to catch both days for maximum celebration and ideas.  As we spring forward with the time change as well as with Spring coming so soon...let's get this party started! Hop on over to all the blogs along the way!

If you've hopped over from Brenda's at Random Thoughts of a Scrapbooker,  then you are in the right place. If you've just popped in to visit my blog or are reading this via email and would like to join our SweetSassyDiva Birthday Blog hop and FUN then, please start at the beginning with Bobbi Jo's blog  because...starting at the start is always SMART! :)

We have a WONDERFUL Grand Prize for one lucky hopper that is donated by Bobbi Jo!  It is a cricut cartridge called Sophie. To be eligible, please visit each blog hop stop leaving a comment also, become a follower at and be sure to leave a comment!  One random winner will be chosen on Wednesday, March 14th, giving you plenty of time to finish the hop.

Our projects for the hop are birthday themed so today I have a birthday card for our nephew. I saw this card on Heather's blog House Built of Cards. She makes wonderful cards and this one seemed perfect for my nephew. Papercrafters are wonderful about sharing inspiration. You can make the design exactly as the original designer made it or you can use it and make it your own.

If you go to Heather's blog you will see I've kept the basic design the same but changed the papers. I used Pink By Design stamps, Cowgirl Up. I've made it smaller to fit in the envelope I have on hand.

The frame is cut from Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge. And the cute little cowboy is cut from A Childs Year cartridge, the design on him is part of the paper design. I used the shadow feature so the little cowboy stands out from the background paper. I also used pop dots so raise him up and give him some dimension. I used a white gel pen to add the white "stitching" around the edges.

Bobby Jo has her wonderful give away but I also have a giveaway for today. Become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment.. You must be a US resident and make sure you check back on March 16 when I pick the winner.

Make sure you leave a comment and become a follower to win. Thank you for checking out my project. I hope that you will become a follower of too and leave a comment. The fun doesn't end here though so be sure to hop on over to Maria's blog at Stamp Cut Create  and remember to visit all the stops for more chances to win!

Be sure to also check back tomorrow for some more celebration and more chances to win!

Here is the complete list in case you get off track:
