Damask Diva's October Blog Hop - Moonlight

Welcome to our Damask Diva's blog hop. Everyone has great projects so hopefully you started at the beginning of the hop. Our team site is the beginning of the hop so if you'd like to start at the beginning you can go to Damask Diva's and start there.

I love using the Moonlight paper pack but I'm not a big Halloween person. I love fall and always decorate my house for fall. So I decided to pair the Moonlight paper pack with Fall Harvest stamp set. I cut the orange brackets with the Artiste Cricut cartridge.

I'm also teaching this layout class in October so I wanted to teach a different technique. Its an old technique but one that the girls at my classes haven't done. I masked off a section of my background paper with scrap paper and used Grey Wool. I dipped my sponge in the ink pad and used circular motions on my paper to give it a soft grey effect.

The sentiments from the Fall Harvest stamp set is stamp set are stamped on Canvas shapes and I love the way they turned out. I added  a bit of bling of course. I stamped the leaves on Colonial white cardstock and hand cut them. If I would have had my Alcohol markers at the time I would have used them but I made this layout in August and I didn't have all the marker colors I needed. You'll have to give them a try, I LOVE them!
Make sure you hop on over to Cydney's blog and see her wonderful project. Here's the full lineup if you miss a blog along the way.

Artiste Cartridge Fall/Halloween Blog Hop

Welcome to our September Fall/ Halloween  Blog Hop!  Each month we will showcasing a theme of our amazing ARTISTE Cricut Cartridge which you can purchase through my web site.
We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a awesome lineup with some amazing talented CTMH Consultants ladies.  There will be lots of fun project along the hop!!

If you came from My Watermelon Moon then you are in the right place!
For the hop we're supposed to make something with the Artiste Cricut cartridge. Well, that wasn't hard, it hasn't been out of my Cricut since I got it. I really do love all the amazing projects on this cartridge. I knew I wanted to make this cute pumpkin. The hardest part was deciding what paper to use. I had some Dotty For You paper that I was saving for the perfect project and this was it. I filled the pumpkin with fall candy and then added the leaf topper. I stamped it with the Diverse Background image stamp first. I think it added that something extra it needed. The Harvest Assortment Twine tied it all together.

I'm the last stop on this blog hop so THANK YOU for hopping with us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

In case you get lost here is the line up,

Cathy Derouche

Bad Bad Blogger

I've been a very bad blogger lately. I wish I could say I was very busy creating and crafting but I haven't been.  For me, when family is in need I always drop everything and help as long as they need me. But this time it's been a long and on going need with many many sleepless nights. I am a worrier and especially when kids are involved. I always feel very responsible for the care of kids. And sometimes when adults are in the midst of their own troubles they don't realize how it's affecting their own children. And thats where my sleepless nights come into play. I worry and fret and try to figure out a way to help. And in the wee hours of the night/ morning is when I finally give it up to God. He is in control and knows the needs of everyone involved. And when I hand it over to the Lord and relinquish control, thats when rest comes. So while I continue to pray for healing for my extended family I'm hoping for life to get back to normal.

And while life has been very crazy I still had Close To My Heart classes to teach and an Open House to showcase our new Fall & Winter Idea Book. So hopefully I'll be able to post pictures of the layouts and projects I've created with our great new products. If you haven't checked out our new Idea Book make sure to click on the book beside this post and it will take your to the catalog.
