Christmas Treat Bags

I think these little treat bags are my last Christmas post. Finally. I've drug Christmas on for quite a while - wink). I do love Christmas but as with all good things they must come to an end. We have to get to the NEW Spring Summer 2013 Idea Book. And let me tell you we have some absolutely amazing papers! Ok, I'm getting ahead of myself. Lets get back the the cute treat bags.
A very talented Close To My Heart consultant shared these cute bags and I decided to give them a try. They are super easy. I used Peppermint patties for the candy and cut the images with the cricut of course. I love that the Close To My Heart stamps work with our Cricut cartridges.

I dressed up the choc candy nuggets with a piece of scrapbook paper. It dresses up your choc real quick. Not that choc needs dressing up, any choc in my house doesn't stay around long enough to need dressing up. But for a gift or stocking stuffer it's a nice touch.

Christmas Star

Wow, it's harder than I imagined getting back into the blogging habit. So I'm going to keep this quick and easy. I loved the My Creations Star when I saw it and knew I wanted to make a Christmas Star.

The Pear and Partridge paper was perfect for the star. I thought the poinsettia from the Artiste cartridge was great as a center accent. I used the Stylus to give the poinsettia some dimension  and then added some silver Glitter Gel to the folds. I do love my bling so I added a Designer Brad to the center.
It was a great addition to our Christmas decorations.

Gift Holder- Christmas

All of my Christmas posts are a bit late because I took the month of December off. Here is a gift holder I made at my husbands request. The secretary at his work had bought the gift from the employees for their boss for Christmas. It wasn't an actual gift that could be wrapped but a paper gift card and pictures of what they were going to receive. The secretary asked if I could make something that they could use to present the gift. Since there were just papers and pictures wrapping it like a regular gift didn't work. But the papers were bigger than a gift card so the Cricut gift card holders wouldn't work either. When I looked thru the Cricut handbook I really liked the cuts on this mini album. I decided I could use adhesive to glue the edges together so it made pockets instead of album pages using the Pear and Partridge papers.

Each edge has a different Cricut cut and makes the opening of the pocket. I used red tape to close the long edges of the pocket. I was then able to put the certificate, pictures and other info in each of the pockets. I used Close To My Heart hook and loop tape for the closure.
I cut the poinsettia with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge and worked the petals with a stylus to add some dimension. I really wanted to add some bling to the center of the poinsettia but it was for my husbands boss who is a man I went for a pearl in the center instead. He and his wife really liked the gift and the gift holder so I was pleased.
