Be Thankful Burlap Bag

When I saw this cute burlap bag design in the Close To My Heart Idea Book I knew I had to make one. But I couldn't stop at one- I made 3! And I love them all. The My Creations Burlap Drawstring Bags come in a package of three so of course I had to use them all.

The turkey cut is super easy using the Artise Cricut Cartridge. And the Perfect Fit- Thanksgiving Stamp Set finishes it off perfectly. I'm sure I'll be using the "Be Thankful" stamp quite a bit.

White Swirl Pumpkin

We're revisiting a post from last year. Its a super easy project that I look at everytime I go into our office and I really do love the look of it. Loved it last year when I made it and I still love it. Thats a great project- when you still like it a year later. ;)

I started out with an inexpensive white pumpkin from Target. You'll want to be careful and get one that looks as real as possible without looking cheap. I didn't look at their pumpkins this year so I'm not sure what their supply was like this year. Although as much as I like this one I should have made another one.

I wish I would have paid attention to how many packages of swirls I used but I had been buying packages whenever I found them on sale at Michelas, Hobby Lobby and Wal Mart. Where ever I was I would pick them up. I bought alot of them from the dollar bins at different stores.  I love bling and knew that if I didn't use them on this pumpkin I would use them on scrapbook layouts or cards. Bling never goes to waste here! So I sat down with my white pumpkin and all of my bling and sat to work. This is the super easy part. I picked what I wanted for the front side of the pumpkin and started putting the bling on. All of the swirls I used were self adhesive so I just peeled the swirls off the backing and laid them on the pumpkin. I kept placing them until I had the pumpkin covered and then I took it and gently patted all the swirls with my hands. It just helps them stick a bit better. And then your done! So easy and a great addition to your fall decor.

Fall reminds us to be thankful for our blessings and family is our biggest blessing of all. This stamp set is perfect for those that love fall and the many small blessings that come with it. I have to confess, I don't love to rake leaves but I do love going on a walk with my sweet husband and walking thru the leaves and hearing them rustle. If truth be told I probably drag my feet a bit to make them rustle even more. Its one of the small pleasures of the season.

I tried stamping the words in Coca ink and using Autumn Terracotta for the word FALL and Olive ink for FAMILY. I really liked the way it turned out. But I wanted to make several of these and this would take a while so the next one I just used Autumn Terracotta ink.

And then I tried one with just Cocoa ink. I really like all three. Add a bit of twine and some pearl gems and you have a frame that would be a great hostess gift for the wonderful women that slave in the kitchen to feed their families a wonderful meal.

Huntington Workshop On The Go Layout 1

Today I used the Huntington Workshop On The Go and love it. This paper is very versatile and even tho it has fall colors it can be used for many different types of photos. Fall is my favorite time of the year so I went all fall with this layout. The leaf stamps are wonderful and I used 2 different ink colors on each leaf. This time of year all the leaves have more than one color. I live in the midwest and we're losing leaves fast but the ones sticking around are beautiful!

Another great thing about the Workshop On The Go kits is that the stamp sets are exclusive to the kit. You can't buy the stamp set with out the kit. So if you like the stamp set you'll want to get the kit right away.

Don't you just love these stamps?!!!! I certainly do! For the leaves it's super easy to get the 2 tone effect. I used Autumn Terracotta, Creme Brulee and Olive inks. Just a little tip, use the lightest color of ink first and then gently roll the edges of the leaf stamp in the darker color. You don't want to get the dark color ink in your ink pad.

Give Thanks For All You Have Layout

Just a quick and easy layout for a class this week. I love that it doesn't cost alot to make a great looking layout. This layout takes 1 sheet of Huntington paper and about 4 1/4 sheets of cardstock. No stickers or embellishments. Just a quick, easy and inexpensive layout. The Happy Autumn Stamp Set is a perfect addition to this paper and can be used for so many projects.
